Miika Makila
President
Miika Makila was born in Canada and raised with a strong Finnish heritage. After graduating from SNI as a sports massage therapist and personal trainer in 1999, he successfully ran a business in Palm Beach County, FL, until 2002. That year, Miika transitioned to the insurance industry, starting his own agency, Absolute Insurance, Inc., in 2007. His deep passion for helping others extends beyond business—
He has served on the board of All Nations Church (Lake Worth, FL)
When not working, Miika enjoys spending his downtime with his kids surfing, fishing, hunting, and travelling the world. His dedication to serving his community and helping others continues to drive both his work and personal pursuits.

Betsy MacDowell
CSR
Betsy has been working in the Insurance Industry for 10 years as an Agent but mostly providing all forms of Customer Service. She sends out all payment reminders by email to all of the customers when payments are due, makes the payments for the customers and is responsible for most of the endorsements that are submitted to the various Insurance Companies. These are for any changes that have been requested by the customer or Insurance Companies. Betsy spends a great deal of time on the phone speaking with the customers to help them with any problems or to get answers when time is a key factor.
Her greatest satisfaction is accomplishing positive results for difficult situations with endorsements, getting policies reinstated and making the customer happy and feeling good about having their Insurance needs in the hands of Absolute Insurance Inc. She takes great pleasure in her upbeat, positive ability to keep the customers happy.
Outside of her professional life she has delved into gardening and growing her own vegetables, planting flowers and an assortment of plants. She is a true Native Floridian, born in West Palm Beach but now lives in Loxahatchee, FL.
Masi Saari
Vice President
Originally from Finland, Masi Saari moved to FL with his family some 40 yrs ago. Upon graduating from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a B.A in Communications/Public Relations in 1998, he continued working in the family construction business as Vice-President, engaging in high-end remodeling and new construction projects in and around Palm Beach, FL. Masi also played professional golf from 2001-2008 on the South American Tour (2001-2002) and various professional Mini-Tours in FL.
In 2016, Miika Makila asked Masi to join him in growing Absolute Insurance, and after working and obtaining his license, Masi segued to become a minority Owner of Absolute Insurance in 2018. His 25+ year background in high-end construction is evident in Masi’s meticulous attention to details, accuracy, and relentless pursuit of finding the proper coverages for complex personal and commercial insurances. Being multilingual, Masi is able to communicate with a wide range of clients as well.
In the few moments he is not working, Masi truly enjoys traveling with his wife Debi, golfing, fishing, and surfing exotic waves globally. He has a strong presence in the community and is active in his church and is also on the board of Missio Dei International.
Satu Mangs

Satu Mangs was the first employee hired to work at Absolute Insurance Inc with the owner, Miika J Makila. She writes auto, boat, condo, homeowners insurance policies as well as Commercial polices. She is of Finnish ancestry and is a huge asset for our large database of Finnish customers at Absolute Insurance Inc. She brings 8 years of experience to the Insurance world and is considered a great asset to the entire team.
Satu’s greatest satisfaction as an insurance employee is her ability to help each and every customer that she services on a daily basis. She goes above and beyond to assist everyone.
Outside of her job with Absolute Insurance Inc, she is an active member of Wellsprings Church in Palm Springs, FL. She enjoys swimming, video editing, graphic design and growing plants in her Hydroponic tower garden. She has now begun painting in water colors and graces her fellow employees with hand painted cards for special occasions.
Satu was born and raised in Finland and moved to the US in 1989. She is married with two grown children and has one adorable grandson. She now resides with her husband in Delray Beach, FL.
Kathleen Ungleich
Office Manager-Agent
Katie has been with the family business for the last 20 years. She is also born and raised in South Florida. Her greatest satisfaction comes from building long term relationship with clients and providing exceptional customer service. Katie is a Property Specialist in both Personal and Commercial who knows how to navigate these difficult Florida markets. Some of her great’s achievements in the insurance industry include helping the agency reach Chairman and Honor Ring, as well as being the number 1 selling agent for condominiums in the State of Florida in 2018.
In her personal time, she enjoys reading novels, Florida nature and being on the boat with her family and friends.

A seasoned professional, Peter previously owned and operated a successful Allstate agency, where he built a reputation for providing exceptional service and personalized solutions for his clients.
Peter’s journey began in Finland, where he was born and raised before moving to Canada to broaden his horizons. In the 1990s, he made South Florida his home, embracing the vibrant culture and community that now inspires his work at Absolute Insurance.
As an Agent Consultant, Peter leverages his deep knowledge and industry insight to support clients and guide them toward informed insurance decisions. His decades of experience and genuine commitment to client satisfaction make him an invaluable asset to the Absolute Insurance team.
